Redesign and refresh the Skin Doctors website to align with their current branding and visual identity and provide a more premium experience for their customers online.
The previous version of the Skin Doctors website was quite dated and didn’t align with the current aesthetic of their main brand and packaging material. The customer experience online was lacking the sophistication and premium quality customers experienced when exposed to the brand in-store or through their marketing materials.
The website also required a complete restructure to better manage and showcase the full product range as well as provide additional information and articles that aligned with customer interests and questions around skin care, such as the ingredients used within the products they purchased.
Our first job was to look at the overall content structure of the website and build an outline of all the products and product categories available through Skin Doctors. From here we then looked at ways to improve the user experience when searching for skincare products that matched their needs or concerns.
We identified that customers prefer to search for products based on a particular need, e.g. dry skin or eye wrinkles, rather than just browsing a particular category of product. This allowed us to better define the range and create an improved navigation structure with new homepage modules that allowed customers to quickly access the products they wanted.
We then looked at ways to enhance the overall customer brand experience by looking at ways to incorporate additional information, articles, and content that helped position Skin Doctors as a trusted leader within the skincare category.
We created a fresh and modern design that provided a premium experience for customers with a much-improved UI that incorporated a range of modules and tools that made it easier and more engaging for potential customers to find and learn more about the products and benefits available through Skin Doctors.
The UI was reworked to align with the modern and professional identity of the brand, blending beauty and minimalist design to align with the science and expertise behind their products and solutions.
Behind the scenes, the website was moved to Adobe Commerce to improve the management and maintenance of the website for internal teams and provide more flexibility and tools to grow the website and product range in the future.
